Italy Launches Responsible Gambling Initiative for Online Players

Italy’s gambling regulator, Agenzia delle Dogane e dei Monopoli (ADM), has launched a nationwide initiative to promote responsible gambling among online players. The campaign focuses on educating players about the risks of excessive gambling and providing tools to help them manage their activity.

As part of the initiative, all licensed operators are required to offer features such as self-exclusion options, spending limits, and real-time notifications about gambling activity. Additionally, a dedicated helpline has been established to support players struggling with addiction.

Industry stakeholders have welcomed the initiative, highlighting its importance in creating a sustainable gambling environment. However, some critics argue that more needs to be done to address the issue of unlicensed operators, who often lack responsible gambling measures.
